As you may know, St Huberts is planning for a major expansion that will necessitate closure of the fields at some point. We’re not exactly sure when that project will begin. They may do some soil testing or other projects, so we’ll have to be a bit flexible in the event that they give us some notice of closure. They may also have blackout dates for fundraising or other purposes and we will not be able to use the fields during those times. (Blackout dates are listed below.) We’ll keep you posted as best as possible. Thank you for your cooperation.
Other St. Huberts Notes:
The following are some comments we received from St Huberts:
1. Parking – Parking is NOT permitted in the St Huberts parking lot. All cars must be parked on Woodland Avenue. In the past, it has worked out extremely well EXCEPT for two issues: First, please leave at least 2 car lengths on either side of the gate, as it is difficult to see when pulling out of the driveway. Second, do not block the exit by pulling up to the entrance and dropping off your child.
2. Trash - There has been a considerable amount of trash left on the fields. Most of this is due to water/Gatorade, candy wrappers, etc. Please dispose of it properly. (Parent managers - please be sure the stay-parent assumes this responsibility).
3. Miscellaneous -
- Keep off the statues - younger children have been seen attempting to climb up the body and onto the head of the St Francis statue
- Please stay out of the St Huberts building - Parents and children were found in the auditorium
- Please be sure children stay out of the trees
- Stay out of the storage containers that are in the parking lot.
- Dogs must be on a leash at all times.
