Chatham United is a non-profit organization dedicated to youth soccer. Its success derives from the passion children display for soccer and the volunteer work of dedicated parents who coach children to develop skills, learn the game and demonstrate good sportsmanship. The Chatham United scholarship program is designed to recognize high school seniors from Chatham whom have benefited from participating in Chatham United Soccer and have demonstrated sportsmanship, community involvement and academic achievement.

 

Award: The are two awards:$1000 to a male student, and $1000 to a female student. The award is not based on financial need.

 

Eligibility: Chatham residents who are graduating high school seniors and plan to attend a 4 year college or university, two year college or a trade, technical or vocational school.

 

Selection: Interested students complete a CUS scholarship application (for Chatham High School students this will supplement the school’s universal scholarship application); submit to the CUS Scholarship committee. Applications are reviewed using a blind selection process taking into account accomplishments, community involvement activities and academic achievement.

 

Applications: The application form can be found on the Forms page of this web site (click here). The deadline for returning an application is February 29 for the following academic year. Chatham High School students can obtain information through the High School.
